Freya Doggett is a London-based figurative and portrait painter, currently studying for her MA Painting at the Royal College of Art.
Drawing inspiration from late Impressionist brushwork and the experimental spirit of modernist painters, Freya’s paintings immortalise fragments of the everyday, centring on protagonists both within and beyond the domestic sphere. Her most recent body of work explores the interplay of memory and imagination, blending elements of fantasy and reality within tranquil, yet sometimes unsettling, landscapes. Through these dreamlike scenarios, she navigates themes of intimacy, nostalgia, and the blurred boundaries of human connection. Animals often occupy symbolic roles in her paintings, appearing as mascots or companions that extend notions of friendship beyond the human experience.
Freya has exhibited her work in the UK and internationally, including at Cicek Gallery (London), R Gallery (Malta) and Galleria de Marchi (Bologna). Her work has also been featured in Vogue México y Latinoamérica and World of Interiors UK. She is currently represented by Cicek Gallery (London) and is the Gold Winner of the Cicek Artist Prize 2025.
